Bio

Angel Barron-Rueda, Academic Coordinator, joined ASPSA in May 2026. In his current role, he works with Football, specifically the offensive linemen, running backs, wide receivers, and specialists. A North Carolina native, he grew up in the northeastern part of the state. Angel received his Bachelor of Science in Applied Education Studies and Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from NC State. Prior to joining ASPSA, Angel worked as an assistant academic coordinator for Duke University. He also worked at ASPSA as an academic mentor and football assistant academic coordinator. Additionally, he was a graduate assistant for academic advising at the Poole College of Management. Outside of work, Angel enjoys traveling and has visited over 20 countries, 4 continents, and over 40 cities.
