Top Student Athletes Honored at Halftime

During halftime of the football game against Wake Forest on Saturday, October 1, 299 Caterpillar Scholar Athletes were commended on center field for their academic achievements. These student athletes earned a term grade point average of 3.0 or higher in spring 2016. They were joined on the field by Chancellor Dr. Randy Woodson, Vice Chancellor and Dean of the Division of Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Michael Mullen, Director of Athletics, Debbie Yow, Faculty Athletics Representative, Dr. Roby Sawyers, Associate Director of ASPSA, Jody Moylon, Wolfpack Sports marketing representative Jim Moran and Caterpillar Director of Industry and Association Marketing, Jason Becker.

The Academic Support Program for Student Athletes is also excited to announce that during the spring semester 149 student athletes were named to the Dean’s List and 31 student athletes achieved a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
