Meet the Staff

Katie Sheridan Graham

Katie Sheridan Graham joined the NC State academic support staff in 2004.  Graham’s responsibilities include oversight of Case Academic Center and staff which provide academic support services to all NC State student-athletes.  Graham also serves as the department’s liaison to the admissions office and leads the APR and GSR collection and reporting process.  Prior to Graham’s current role of assistant dean and director, she served as associate director and head football academic coordinator.  Graham worked with football and women’s golf student-athletes for ten years; in that role she was responsible for coordinating academic support plans, monitoring NC State and NCAA eligibility, and assisting with recruiting and communicating with the coaching staff.  Graham also helped to develop NC State’s Reconnect Program for former student-athletes who return to school to finish their undergraduate degree.  Graham earned her bachelor’s degree from NC State in business administration in 2003.  While earning her undergraduate degree, she competed on the NC State swimming and diving team and served as team captain her senior season. Graham also received her Master of Education in counseling from NC State in 2005.  She is an active member of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A) and is the former Chair of the Legislative Services Committee.  Graham is originally from Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  She and her husband, Daniel, live in Holly Springs with their son, Colton and daughter, Everly.

Megan has been working at NC State since January of 2003. She currently advises women’s basketball and men’s and women’s swimming and diving. Megan attended St. Francis University, where she participated in volleyball for four years and graduated in 2000 with a degree in health science. Megan continued her education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she earned her master’s in student affairs in higher education. While getting her master’s degree, Megan served as a graduate assistant at the University of Pittsburgh’s Academic Support Program.  After graduating in May of 2002, Megan worked at Florida State University as an assistant academic advisor for baseball, women’s soccer, and women’s volleyball. She married Rob Albidrez in May 2006 and the couple has two children, Emma and Cruz.

moylon-jody JODY MOYLON

Jody Moylon has been working at NC State since March 2001.  She currently oversees the Academic Skills Enhancement Program and advises the women’s and men’s track and cross country teams and cheerleading. Jody attended North Carolina State University, where she participated in soccer for four years and graduated in 1997 with a degree in parks recreation and tourism management.  Jody continued her education at North Carolina State University where she earned her master’s in parks recreation and tourism management. While getting her master’s degree, Jody served as a graduate assistant in the academic support program. Jody has been working in the academic support program since her graduation in 2001.

 

EMILY CLINKHAMMER

Emily Clinkhammer, assistant director/learning specialist, has been at NC State since August 2014. Her responsibilities include working with a caseload of student-athletes, managing the mentor program, coordinating educational testing, and acting as the liaison to NC State’s Disability Resource Office.  Emily attended Hamilton College in Clinton, NY, where she was a 4-year member of the swimming and diving team and a 2005 All-American on 1 meter and 3 meter diving. She graduated in 2006 with a degree in mathematics. After spending 2 years as a diving coach at Union College, Emily attended Syracuse University and received an M.S. in higher education administration in 2012.  Emily comes to NC State from Virginia Tech, where she worked as a learning specialist from 2012-2014. She and her husband, Thomas, reside in Raleigh.

ASHLEY GRIGSBY

Ashley Grigsby began working at NC State in March 2020. She currently oversees and advises football academics. Prior to arriving at NC State, Ashley was an assistant director at Boston College overseeing academics for the men’s basketball program and assisting as an academic counselor for the football program. Before joining the Boston College staff, Ashley worked at the University of South Florida. At the University of South Florida Ashley served as the assistant director for basketball academics and oversaw academics for both the men’s and women’s basketball programs. During her time at USF, Ashley worked with not only both basketball programs but men’s and women’s soccer, baseball, men’s and women’s golf, and track and field programs. 

Ashley Grigsby was also a former student-athlete at the University of South Florida on the Cross Country and Track team. She received her bachelors in Criminology and Master of Education in College Student Affairs at the University of South Florida.

 

JENNY WOMACK

Jenny Womack joined the ASPSA staff as an academic coordinator in Fall 2012.  She currently advises baseball, volleyball, and softball.  Prior to working at NC State, she served as an academic coordinator for football, baseball, softball, golf, and tennis student-athletes at Elon University.  Before entering the academic support field, Jenny was a middle school educator in the Wake County Public School System for eight years. She completed her undergraduate degree in education at NC State, where she was a North Carolina Teaching Fellow.  She returned to NC State in 2010 to complete her master’s degree in college counseling and student development while serving as a graduate assistant to ASPSA. She is a member of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A).  Jenny is married to Scott Womack, and resides in Raleigh.

 

ADAM HUBBARD

Adam Hubbard, eligibility coordinator, returned to NC State in October 2016, having previously served as an assistant academic coordinator with ASPSA in 2010-2011.  He currently oversees the continuing eligibility and admissions for incoming student-athletes.  Prior to returning to ASPSA, Adam served as the assistant director of compliance for eligibility at Florida International University from 2015-2016, and as an academic advisor at the University of Central Florida from 2011-2015 where he worked with the football, men’s soccer, men’s golf, and rowing programs in his 4 1/2 years there.  He is a graduate of UNC Greensboro with his bachelor’s in commercial recreation, and from the University of Tennessee with his master’s in sports management.  Adam is a native of Asheville, NC and currently resides in Fuquay Varina with his wife, Anne.

Jimmy Glassford

Jimmy Glassford started working at NC State in October 2018 as an academic coordinator working with football. Prior to joining the Wolfpack family, he worked at Mississippi State as an academic counselor serving the men’s and women’s tennis, baseball and women’s soccer team during his time there. Jimmy’s undergraduate degree is from North Greenville University in Sport Management and his master’s degree is from the University of South Carolina in Sport and Entertainment Management. Also, while at South Carolina he started as an intern in their athletic academic office serving a number of different athletic teams. Jimmy is married to his wife Jordan and they have two daughters, Maggie and Parker.
JESSE RAPPOLE

Jesse currently serves as a learning specialist after beginning his work with the Wolfpack in January 2020 as an academic mentor. He competed in track and cross-country for Villanova and UNC – Chapel HilI before earning a J.D. at W&L Law, then completing a Ph.D. from the University of Georgia. Jesse’s eight years of experience in academic support for student-athletes includes time at UGA, Georgia State University and Complete Student-Athlete, Inc. Throughout these opportunities, his focus has remained helping students improve their minds to overcome challenges. When he’s not teaching, Jesse and his wife, Georgia, try to keep up with their daughter, Athena.

Nicole Willis

Nicole Willis, learning specialist, began her work at NC State in January 2022. Nicole attended Louisiana State University, in Baton Rouge, where she played women’s volleyball. Nicole graduated in 2014 with a BS in Child Development and Early Childhood Intervention. After finishing undergrad, Nicole served as the graduate assistant coach and Director of Operations at East Carolina University while earning her masters. She served in student-athlete development, primarily with the women’s volleyball team and Student Athlete Advisory Committee. She graduated from East Carolina University in 2015 with her masters in Elementary Education.Prior to joining the Wolfpack family, she taught elementary and middle school for 9 years in Cumberland, Wake, and Johnston counties. Her educational focus and philosophy involved student engagement and academic development and preparedness. Nicole is originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, where she lives with her cockapoo, Beignet (Ben-yay)!

Erin McGovern, academic coordinator, started working at NC State in July of 2019. She currently advises wrestling, gymnastics, and men’s golf. Prior to starting as an academic coordinator, Erin worked with ASPSA as an assistant academic coordinator for the 2018-2019 school year where she worked primarily with football. Erin attended Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia where she studied biology and was a four-year member of the track and field team. After finishing her undergraduate degree Erin attended Virginia Tech where she received her M.A.Ed in higher education and Student Affairs. Erin is originally from Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

 SIERRA SOLOMON

Sierra Solomon has been working at NC State full-time since June of 2019. She currently serves as an academic coordinator for men’s basketball and women’s soccer. Sierra served as an assistant academic coordinator for ASPSA (June 2018-May 2019) where she worked primarily with men’s basketball. During her time as an assistant academic coordinator, she also worked with baseball, women’s volleyball, and women’s soccer. Prior to NC State Sierra was an assistant academic coordinator at the University of South Florida working with the men’s and women’s basketball teams. During her time at USF, the Men’s Basketball team recorded their first-ever team GPA of a 3.0 or higher.

Sierra earned her bachelor’s degree from North Carolina Central University (2014). While at NCCU she was a member of the women’s basketball team. In May 2017 she earned her master’s degree from NCCU in Athletic Administration. During her time as a graduate student, she served as a graduate assistant for the athletic department working in student-athlete development and as a mentor for the Preparing to Soar summer bridge program for freshmen student-athletes. Sierra is a native of Raleigh, NC.  In her free time, she enjoys working out, cooking, as well as spending time with her family and friends.

KAYLA OWENS

Kayla Owens began working at NC State in July 2020. She currently serves as an Academic Coordinator for men’s basketball and women’s tennis. Kayla comes to NC State after serving as an Academic Support Assistant for Penn State University’s football team for a year and a half.

Kayla graduated from West Chester University of Pennsylvania with a degree in exercise science in 2015, where she was a four-year member of the women’s track and field team. She went on to earn her master’s degree in public administration with graduate certificates in sports management and athletics, and administration from West Chester University of PA in 2018. While a graduate student, Kayla worked as a graduate assistant within West Chester’s Athletic Department in the Athletic Mentoring Program, and was also a graduate intern at Temple University, primarily working with students from Temple’s football and men’s basketball teams, during the fall of 2018.

ALICIA JEFFERSON

Alicia Jefferson joined the NC State academic support staff in December of 2020. Jefferson joins the NC State staff after most recently serving as the Academic Athletics Coordinator at Saint Peter’s University from 2019-2020. While at Saint Peter’s she served as the academic coordinator for all 16 athletic programs. Prior to her time at Saint Peter’s, Jefferson served as an assistant academic Coordinator at Syracuse University from 2018-2019. While at the ACC university, she served as an academic coordinator for men’s basketball and women’s volleyball. Before entering into the academic support field, Jefferson worked with City Year Columbus as an Impact Manager in Columbus, Ohio from 2014 to 2018 within the Columbus City School District. At City Year Columbus, she provided academic support and mentorship to all students grades 9th-12th at Mifflin High School. 

Jefferson was a four-year Division I student-athlete at Bowling Green State University on the women’s track & field team, graduating in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Education, Sports Management and a minor in Psychology. Jefferson received her Master of Education from Northeastern University in December of 2017.  Jefferson is a native of Ypsilanti, MI.               

Betsy Baker

Betsy Baker has been working at NC State in the Academic Support Program for Student-Athletes since 2015. She currently serves as the Executive Assistant to the Assistant Dean and Associate Athletic Director for Academics. Betsy is originally from Eastern North Carolina and is a graduate of NC State where she majored in English. Betsy lives in Raleigh with her husband Nathan and her two cats, Oscar and Stanley.


MURIEL HOOD

Muriel Hood has been working at NC State in Academic Support Program for Student-Athletes since October of 2004. She currently oversees the hiring and payroll process for all employees and also administrative and accounting duties for the department. Muriel also assists with the Student-Athlete Opportunity Fund as well as supervising student employees.  Muriel is originally from Jefferson, SC and attended North Carolina Central University where she majored in mass communications.
